Bio

A Los Angeles native, Kelly Noonan Gores grew up in front of the camera acting on and off from the age of 7. She has appeared in over 50 TV commercials, films and TV shows. In 2012 she started Elevative Entertainment with the intention to create conscious media that informs, inspires, and empowers. Kelly is a seeker, a meditator, and enjoys travelling, sports, reading and writing.

Kelly’s documentary HEAL takes us on a scientific and spiritual journey where we discover that our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions have a huge impact on our health and ability to heal. The latest science reveals that we are not victims of unchangeable genes, nor should we buy into a scary prognosis. The fact is we have more control over our health and life than we have been taught to believe. This film will empower you with a new understanding of the miraculous nature of the human body and the extraordinary healer within us all.

HEAL not only taps into the brilliant minds of leading scientists and spiritual teachers but follows three people on actual high stakes healing journeys. Healing can be extremely complex and deeply personal, but it can also happen spontaneously in a moment. Through these inspiring and emotional stories, we find out what works, what doesn't, and why.

About this episode

As the creator of the ground-breaking HEAL documentary, and most recently the author of the HEAL book, Kelly Noonan Gores, has created a movement by sharing the empowering message that we are all capable of self-healing.

In HEAL, Kelly brings together internationally-acclaimed spiritual teachers, thought leaders and scientists – as well as patients who have experienced the power of their minds to support their own healing – to drive this message home.

On this episode of the Mind Your Own Life podcast, Kelly shares her ‘why’ behind HEAL, the incredible transformations she has witnessed and how her path has shifted since she became a mother.

Listen and be empowered!

We talk about:

  • The study of epigenetics tells us that, while our genes may be the blueprint, our lifestyle and mindset can overpower genetics

  • The nocebo effect is dangerous; we need to be conscious of our beliefs about statistics- and get a second (or third) opinion!

  • Oftentimes, medication only turns off the symptom (the smoke alarm) but doesn’t heal the root cause (the fire).
